Cut them once a week until they get stronger and no biting. I had to do this, now i have longer strong nails. You can also get nail polish that strengthens your nailsPeeling Nails?
keep your nails cut short or scrub underneath the nail.
Calcium and lots of it. You're supposed to get 1000mg per day. Milk is good for it and all the usual dairy suspects.

The best are these little chocolates that have 500mg of calcium per piece. You can get dark or milk and they come wrapped in tinfoil. There are only 30 calories per piece. Pretty much at every drug store. Your nails will get very strong.

P.S. No acrylic...your nails will suffocate
Arcrylic will make them stonger and protect them.
get nails done by a cosmotologist!
How are you filings your nails???? If you are doing the back and forth thing, this could be why they are peeling. I suggest that you invest in a glass nail file. You can find them at your local Sally Beauty Supply for around 8 bucks.

My suggestion to you is start with a good manicure weekly for about 1 month. Try to stay away from those ';discount'; salons and find yourself a good manicurist who knows what she is doing. There are whitening agents that can be put into a bowl of water for at home care that will brightening your nails. You can find these at Sally's Beauty Supply. Try not to scrub them too much, this could be the cause of them being to dry. Invest in a good nail straightener such as Qtica Natural Nail Strengthener, OPI Nail Envy or Nailtiques. These are the top strengtheners and are worth every penny.

Apply a coat of polish to your nails every day for the first week. Continue this until you see improvement. Also invest in a good cuticle oil such as Solar Oil and apply this every night rubbing each finger for about thirty seconds. This will hydrate the cuticle and nails and promote blood flow to the nail bed. Remember that it is crucial you use a nail strengthener with cuticle oil. All nail strengtheners contain formaldehyde and this can be drying to your nails.
the best way to stop that is by drinking milk also you can get a special cream to make it stop and a drug store
